Canada’s internationally acclaimed Vancouver Youth Choir with guests Music Generation’s Kilkenny Youth Choir will take to the stage tuesday, May 5th from 8 pm to 9:30 pm at St Canice’s Cathedral.
Founded in 2013 by Artistic Director Carrie Tennant, the Vancouver Youth Choir serves more than 700 singers from across the Vancouver area. The touring ensemble has gained international attention for adventurous programming and outside-the-box performances, setting new standards for youth choirs globally.
This concert moves across time and place, bringing together new works, global traditions, and contemporary voices. The program highlights the artistry and range of the Vancouver Youth Choir’s flagship ensemble and includes selections prepared for the Cork International Choral Festival.
